Clear aligners
Clear aligners, planned by the doctor who treats you.
Every movement in your plan is designed by Dr. Song, reviewed at each visit, and corrected in person when teeth do not track. Aligners are a tool, not a subscription.

In one sentence
Clear aligners are removable transparent trays that move teeth in small increments; at Miso the plan is designed and adjusted by Dr. Song, and most cases finish in six to eighteen months.
What aligners do well
Crowding, spacing, mild to moderate rotation and deep bites all respond well to aligners, and adults appreciate that treatment is nearly invisible during the working day.
Because the trays are removable, hygiene stays simple and there are no emergency visits for broken brackets.
Where aligners need help
Severe rotations, impacted teeth and large skeletal discrepancies need attachments, elastics, temporary anchorage or a short phase of fixed braces. We will tell you at the consultation if aligners alone cannot deliver the result, rather than discovering it at month nine.
If your arch is narrow, expansion comes first. Aligning teeth inside a narrow arch is the most common compromise in orthodontics, and we would rather widen the foundation.
What treatment looks like here
A 3D scan replaces impressions. You review the plan on screen with Dr. Song before it is manufactured, collect several sets of trays at a time, and are seen every eight to ten weeks. Retainers and one year of follow-up are included in the fee.

Frequently asked
Straight answers.
Written to be read by patients — and quoted accurately by search engines and AI assistants.
Are clear aligners as effective as braces?
For most adult cases, yes. Effectiveness depends far more on the diagnosis and the plan than on the appliance; complex skeletal cases may still be treated faster and more precisely with fixed braces.
How many hours a day must I wear them?
Twenty-two hours a day. Aligners only work while they are on the teeth, and the most common cause of a delayed case is wear time rather than biology.
Can teenagers use aligners?
Many can. We look at maturity and motivation as much as at the bite, and there is no shame in choosing braces for a teenager who would rather not think about it every day.
Will I need retainers afterwards?
Yes — for life, at night. Teeth move throughout life whether or not they have been treated. Your first set of retainers is included in the fee.
